Why Lighting
Goes Wrong
Lighting is typically the largest controllable energy load in a commercial building — and the least intelligently managed.
Fixed Schedules Waste Energy
Lights running all night in empty offices. Weekend schedules running Monday programming. Energy wasted because no one updated the timer.
Occupancy-based control with presence detection and configurable absence timeout
No Daylight Integration
South-facing offices with floor-to-ceiling glazing running full artificial light at noon. Photosensors available but never installed.
Closed-loop photosensor daylight harvesting with auto-dimming to maintain target lux levels
No Scene Control
Single overhead light level for presentations, video calls, focused work, and social spaces. One setting poorly suited to all of them.
Pre-programmed DALI-2 scenes per zone with BMS trigger integration
Can't Prove Savings
No per-circuit energy data. Lighting efficiency can't be demonstrated for sustainability certifications or finance sign-off on retrofit investments.
DALI-2 energy reporting per circuit with monthly zone consumption analysis
What We
Deliver
From lux design through to energy reporting — a complete lighting control scope managed as a single engagement, not assembled from separate contractors.
Lighting Design & Zoning Strategy
Lux level calculation per zone against CIBSE and SLL recommendations. Luminaire positioning, beam angle selection, and colour temperature specification. Emergency lighting compliance check against local codes. Protocol selection — DALI-2, KNX, or DALI Wireless — based on retrofit constraints and future expansion requirements. Full zone matrix document before installation begins.
Occupancy & Daylight Control
PIR and ultrasonic occupancy sensors for presence detection with configurable hold times and sensitivity zones. Photosensor arrays for closed-loop daylight harvesting — artificial light dims automatically as natural light increases, maintaining constant target lux without occupant intervention. Absence timeout and smooth re-entry dimming to avoid jarring transitions.
Scene Programming & Commissioning
Pre-defined scenes commissioned per zone: Focus (500 lux, 4000K), Meeting (400 lux, 3500K), Presentation (100 lux, 2700K), Circulation (200 lux), After-Hours (50 lux, 3000K). BMS integration for scene triggers on occupancy events, AHU schedules, or calendar-based inputs. All scenes documented and accessible to facilities management without specialist tools.
DALI-2 Installation & Retrofit
DALI-2 lighting control installation for new fit-outs and retrofit into existing LED driver infrastructure. Group addressing, broadcast commands, and individual fixture fault reporting all enabled. Compatibility testing across mixed-driver environments. DALI Wireless deployment available where civil works are not feasible.
Energy Monitoring & Reporting
Per-circuit energy metering via DALI-2 energy reporting commands. Monthly consumption reports per zone with operating hours and actual vs. target lux data. Occupancy efficiency ratio — showing what percentage of lighting hours had active occupancy. Benchmarking data to support BREEAM, LEED, and WELL certification submissions.

Lighting that serves
people, not schedules.
The right light level in the right zone at the right time — without anyone touching a switch. Energy falls by 40–60%, occupant comfort improves, and every kilowatt is measured and reported.
Discuss Your LightingLux Design Before Installation
We calculate target illuminance levels per zone before anything is specified — no over-lit corridors or under-lit workstations.
Retrofit Without Disruption
DALI-2 and DALI Wireless retrofit into existing LED drivers — often no additional civil works required.
Measurable Energy Savings
Per-circuit DALI-2 energy reporting gives verified savings data for finance teams and sustainability reporting.
